I admire my sister Sara for so many reasons.  Sara and Kyle, her husband, have also created a wonderful family, and they will be adding two more next month!  Noah and Eli are two awesome nephews who know how to have a great time.  They will be great big brothers to their two new sisters who, I'm assuming, will be named Larrita and Larrita Junior...just kidding.

Since Sara is the oldest of my siblings, I looked to her for much guidance and leadership.  One of my best trips was when I was able to stay a week with Sara over the summer while she was at UT.  Sara put up with me and showed me how great Austin is.  I had to follow in her footsteps and come to Austin to attend UT.

I can recall how proud we all were of her and her high school one act play team placing second in state competition.  Sara always commanded a stage with her grace, beauty, and dominant performance.  Being an educator herself, I've learned that teaching is like being on stage everyday.  We've got to have our lines prepared, we need to be confident, and we have to make a positive impression.

Thanks so much Sara for being a great role model.  I love you and your family very, very much!

I'm so glad to have my sister Mariana in my life.  Jessie, her husband, and Mariana have created a great family.  My nephew and niece, Maverick and Thora, are precious creations who bring joy to anyone who meets them.

Since Mariana is a year older then me, I was able to closely follow her basketball, volleyball, and softball careers in high school.  Mariana always impressed me with her relentless determination.  I can recall a time when I was watching Mariana pitch in a high school softball game.  A line drive from the batter came right back at her, knocking her to the ground.  Mariana was down and clearly in pain, and we were all concerned she might not be able to continue.  Mariana, however, had no intention of leaving the game.  After recovering, standing up, and brushing the dirt off her shoulder, she pitched the entire game.  I have no idea whether or not they won the game, but one thing I am certain of...my sister is a BEAST!

Thanks Mariana for sharing your amazing family with the world.  Most importantly, thanks for being a great big sister who I can always look to for comfort, laughter, and love!

I first watched this PBS NOVA Marathon Challenge video a few years back.  It's really awesome to see non-athletes transformed into Boston Marathoners.  For sure worth watching!

Starting Young Guns Youth Running Group has been such an awesome endeavor.  It started with my new found love of running and my ability to guide and teach our youth.  I am so grateful for all of my runners, coaches, and parents who support what we're doing.  Our group stays active, stays positive, and has lots of fun!

As I run Sunday, I'll be sporting my neon safety green Young Guns shirt, thinking about all my runners!  With over 70 runners from several different schools in Austin, it's going to motivate me to move, move move!  Thanks for the inspirational circle at Wednesday's running group!  Y'all are da' bomb!

I am so grateful to have the support from my students and their families in my life endeavors.  This year has been exceptionally great for me because I'm teaching 5th grade for the 1st time, which has helped me strengthen the connection I have with many 5th grade students.  When I run, I regularly think about my students and ways to make our classroom the best it can be.  From desk arrangements to "Pink Out Day", my student's energy keeps me moving.

It's hard to believe I've taught over 140 students these past 7 years.  I've made many great connections and am so grateful for every student I've taught.  As marathon day rolls around Sunday, there is no doubt I'll be running with my student's love and support.  I'll be thinking about all of them and using their support as fuel.  This Sunday I'll be running with joy, running with passion, running to inspire!

As I prepare for Sunday, I am so grateful for my faith, my health, my friends, and my family.  I would be nothing without my faith in God, who provides me strength, courage, compassion, and reminds me to love and respect EVERYONE around me.

I, of course, would be nothing without the love and support of my father Gary Chauvin and my mother Janie Chauvin.  From high school football games, to driving hundreds of miles to watch me run my first marathon in Florida, my parents have always been there to support me. I am so fortunate to have them as my strength and support, always.  I am who I am because of them.  Determination come from my father, compassion come from my mother.

I am so glad my parents will be in Austin this Sunday to cheer me on once more.  I love you both very, very much!

This video goes perfect with my blog on never quitting.  Truly moving video and shows how support is essential.  Thanks to everyone who supports me and my running!

The Eye of the Tiger always makes me want to start upper cutting the air, just like Rocky, when it comes on!  It gets me pumped up and makes me want to sprint to the finish!  Great power song.

I first saw the video below on my friend Amy Stephens' Facebook page.  It was such an inspirational video, and really helps me keep doing what I am doing.  Thanks Amy for sharing, and thanks for being an awesome teacher, a fantastic coach, and an amazing friend! :-)
